Chassis no. 8787 was built in 1966 and destined for the U.S. market, originally delivered through Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, Connecticut. It was then transported to William F. Harrahs Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada, where it was sold to its first owner, Denver Cornett of Louisville, Kentucky. A renowned sports car enthusiast and founding member of the Kentucky Region of the SCCA, Cornett drove the car just 7,000 miles over three years and proudly displayed it at local concours events before selling it in 1970.

Its next owner, Ferrari enthusiast C.C. Canada of Camden, South Carolina, held the car for an impressive 43 years. During his stewardship, the car was a regular presence at national Ferrari gatherings and vintage events, including Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen. In 2013, still in original and unrestored condition, the 330 GT was sold and soon underwent a complete, meticulous restoration.

Performed by Ferrari experts at Julio Grosso Restorations in Danbury, Connecticut, the car was stripped to bare metal with no rust detected. The suspension was fully rebuilt and nickel-plated, Koni shocks were restored, and all bushings replaced. The engine was overhauled with new pistons, valves, and fuel pumps. The clutch, radiator, heater core, power steering, and air conditioning system were all rebuilt or replaced. A new exhaust system was installed. Inside, the cabin was reupholstered in Nero Franz leather, Wilton-style carpets were added, and the wood dash and steering wheel were refinished to their original luster. The Borrani wire wheels were re-spoked, and all chrome was re-plated. The restoration was completed with the utmost attention to authenticity and craftsmanship.

Included with the sale are a complete Ferrari tool kit, jack kit, a reprinted owners manual in its original leather folio, warranty card, and detailed service documentation, adding to the cars exceptional provenance and presentation.
